Emmelia PApril 12, 2026 Marvellous kili hike Marvellous! Andrew was a pleasure to deal with on the organisation of the trip and lead up. Always answering my questions and helping with kit prep. I felt totally looked after before we had even got to Tanzania. On the kili hike the team of guides and porters were phenomenal. We simply would not have made it without them. They were all friendly, knowledgeable and made the trip amazing for us even when we didn't feel too great! They are the only reason we had a successful summit. Washing water, wake up calls, fresh food, genuine care and attention. The taxis and transport before and after our trip was all sorted out by Andrew too and and he really did take care of anything we asked. Would totally recommend this local company for a truly authentic experience!!!!! Letizia MMarch 27, 2026 Great Safari Experience Everything was great and well organized. We had such an amazing experience in Ngorongoro Crater. Thank you! Patrick Maxime BFebruary 10, 2026 Great recommendation from a friend, we made the right decision to go with Andrew and his team A friend recommended Kili Tanzanite to hike Kilimanjaro and the least we can say is that it was the best decision we made. Andrew and his team were amazing to work with. Guides, porters, everyone was professional and extremely friendly. We were a group of 12 and we felt taken care of. It was the experience of a lifetime. NicolaiFebruary 10, 2026 Must read this before you choose your tour operator! Top notch! I have to say, Kilimajaro Tanzanite Safaris blew our minds. We were looking for a locally owned company (this was very important to us as we wanted to support the local tourism ecosystem, and not necessarily a foreign owned company) and Andrew and his team were absolutely top notch on every aspect. 1. The guides (we had Fadhili as our head guide) made us feel safe yet encouraged us to push ourselves. There's no chance we would have had 11 of the 12 of us summit with Andrew's team. 2. The food. Blew us away. How in the world did they manage to make pizza at 15,000 feet elevation? How in the world did they bake a cake (without even knowing beforehand that it was someone's birthday) with no oven? The food blew us away! So many more things I could add to this review, but these were for sure the top 2 for me. Lucy YFebruary 9, 2026 Kilimanjaro experience Awesome team and guides! We went to hiking in Kilimanjaro, the guides are very professional with over 10 years of experience, and took all 5 of us to the summit! Andrew is also easy to communicate with and provided good services! And they also can provide custom trips for us :) Krzysztof SJanuary 28, 2026 Great company I wholeheartedly recommend Kilimanjaro Tanzanite Safaris. The entire crew was absolutely fantastic – incredibly helpful, friendly, and always smiling. The guides and the entire team demonstrated incredible professionalism at every stage of the expedition, ensuring both the safety and well-being of the entire group. We completed the Machame route in six days, and most importantly, 100% of our group summited Kilimanjaro, which speaks volumes about the excellent organization and the appropriate acclimatization process. The food was a huge surprise for us – it was delicious, varied, and very well-prepared; we absolutely didn't expect such a high standard at this altitude. At the very end, the crew surprised us with a cake with the inscription "Conquerors of the Summit of Kilimanjaro," which was a beautiful and touching culmination of the entire expedition. Complete professionalism, a great atmosphere, and unforgettable memories. If you're planning to climb Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro Tanzanite Safaris is the best choice. ekrebs14December 28, 2025 I didn’t have to do anything but put one foot in front of the other! I had an incredible experience doing the 7-day Machame route to climb Kilimanjaro with Kili Tanzanite Safari. I requested a quote through safaribookings.com and the quote I received via email wasn’t as professional looking as ones I got from other companies, so I was a little nervous about it not being legitimate, but I wasn’t tempted by the very reasonable price. (I got quotes from other companies that were easily 2x what I paid Kili Tanzanite, and I heard of other people getting quotes that were 3x (thousands more!) what than I paid.) My suspicions turned out to be completely unfounded, as Andrew was incredibly responsive and helpful in getting my trek scheduled and my guide, Fadhili, told me that Andrew is a wonderful guy to work for. The morning of the trek there was an issue with the hotel, so I called Andrew and he answered on the first ring. He also stored my belongings that I didn’t take on the mountain (many of which were expensive electronics) and I got them all back safe and sound. It made me very happy that I was supporting a locally owned company. Apparently, a lot of the bigger (and more expensive) companies that run Kilimanjaro treks are owned by foreigners (the biggest one is Russian owned, boooo). I had a level of customer service that went way beyond what I was expecting for what I paid for this trip, both on and off the mountain. I am an experienced backpacker so I didn’t care about doing the trek with a company that was going to coddle me, but I’ve never had such a luxurious backpacking experience. I went solo and did a private trip, so I had a massive tent to myself. I didn’t have to carry any of my own stuff except for whatever I’d need during the day (water, layers, snacks, sunblock, etc), they heated up water for me to wash in the morning and again in the evening, they served hot drinks 3x/day, and there was really good food cooked for every meal (the soups were amazing!!) They served me enough food for 2 people on this trip and honestly, by the end of the trek, I was sick of eating because I was always so full! I didn’t have to do ANYTHING on this trek but put one foot in front of the other. Even though I did this trek solo, there was 1 chef (Bryson), 1 guide (Fadhili), and FIVE porters (Ali, Nelson, Mayshock, Emmanuel, and Sefu) just for me. All 7 of them slept in one tent, which was also the kitchen. They were so good to me and had such good attitudes and told me multiple times how happy they were to have the work. I felt so spoiled, I had to tell them to only give me washing water once and day. And on the days it was an option, I didn’t want the chef to stop and cook lunch in the middle of the hike, I just had him pack me a picnic lunch. The only ways I noticed some other companies did things “nicer” than this company was they would have porters carry tables and chairs for mid-hike breaks (I felt this was completely unnecessary, I would rather just sit on a rock) and some had newer/nicer tents. My tent, while older, was much bigger so I wasn’t cramped at all. I only felt bad for the porters who carried it as that meant it was heavier. The recommended tips according to Andrew were USD $10/day per porter, $12/day for the waiter (one of the porters acted as your waiter), $15/day for the cook, and $25/day for the chef. Before the trek, this felt expensive to me (even as an American who is used to tipping a lot) as that totaled $644. However, by the end of the trip, I felt that this was an insufficient reflection of my gratitude for how much work everyone did and ended up tipping more than the recommendation. Fadhili was a great guide and spoke better English than many of the other guides I met on the mountain. He genuinely seemed to care about me accomplishing my goal and was very careful to hike super slowly to help with altitude acclimation (ive never hiked so slowly in my life but I’m sure it contributed to my ultimate success). He even did a health check at the end of every day and took my oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter. I was so focused on summitting Kilimanjaro and suffering the altitude symptoms before the trek that I forgot the trek could actually be enjoyable. Even if I hadn’t summited (I did!), this trip still would have been more than worth it. The views and different landscapes and environments were incredible and this was a trip I will never forget. omard88December 14, 2025 Outstanding Safari Experience with Kili Tanzanite Safaris I booked my safari through Safari Bookings and compared several operators.I chose Kili Tanzanite Safaris, and it was absolutely the right decision. Booking a safari from abroad always involves a certain level of uncertainty — especially when you have to send deposits to a company you don’t know personally. From the very beginning, Andrew made me feel completely confident and comfortable. His communication was clear, honest, fast, and very professional. He was always available, extremely friendly, and flexible, and he tailored the entire safari exactly to our wishes. The price–performance ratio was excellent — honestly, the service we received was even better than expected for the price. Everything was delivered exactly as promised, from airport transfers to accommodation and daily planning. Our guide and driver, Jerry, was simply outstanding. A very cool guy, extremely experienced, and highly professional. You could immediately tell that he knows the parks, the animals, and the people very well — everyone knew him. He is truly a role model for what a safari guide should be. Thanks to him, the safari was perfectly organized, relaxed, and unforgettable. Our itinerary included Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha. Everything ran smoothly — pickups, drop-offs, timing, and changes along the way. The team was very flexible and always adapted to our preferences. Overall, this safari exceeded all expectations. I can highly recommend Kili Tanzanite Safaris to anyone without hesitation. If you are looking for a trustworthy, professional, and fair safari operator in Tanzania, this is the one. Five stars from me — absolutely deserved. Nemi PetrovicDecember 6, 2025 Perfect Safari with Kili Tanzanite! Our safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro was organized by Kili Tanzanita, and everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Our driver and guide Jerry made the experience truly unforgettable. He is very experienced, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable.
