Chimpanzee trekking safari is among famous primate tours in the world. Other primate tours are Gorilla tracking and golden monkey safaris. With the help of Louis Leakey, Goodall set up a small research station in Gombe in hopes of learning more about the behavior of primates. It was open to tourists for activities like walking safaris, ecotourism, hiking Jane peak point, bird watching, filming, photographic safaris, and chimpanzee trekking. Best time to go for plants/insects and better chimpanzee spotting, the best time is during the wet season (November to mid-May) and for the best photo-taking (May to October).
