This is wildlife photographic safari tours in Tanzania parks and great lakes. It is nature photographic tours to Tarangire, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi Hadzabe and Lake Manyara to see big 5 and wildebeest migration. Also, these safari goers will see wonderful country landscapes, Lakes, Great Rift Valley and meet local people Maasai culture in their villages. Description by Day
Day 01: Depart for Tarangire National Park
If they climbed Kilimanjaro, they will departure from Moshi at 07.00 am and drive to Tarangire National Park. Distance is 200 km and duration is 3 hours).
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, with picnic lunch boxes and proceed with wildlife 4 x 4 game drives. Tarangire is a home to famous large herds of Elephants, roaming free amid Baobab and acacia, also you will see Lion, Leopard, and Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed. This park has many baobab trees and some varieties of acacias, whereas Tarangire pythons climb trees, and the one place in Tanzania. Get dinner and overnight at Lake Burunge tented camp (semi luxury and en suite) or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 02: From Tarangire – Drive to Lake Natron
This Journey will take you through local villages, amazing geographical landscapes and arrive to Lake Natron area. You will have lunch at the Camp and then visit various attractions such as Ngaresero waterfall, local bushes with wildlife animals, maasai Bomas pastoralists, etc. In the Afternoon/evening you will visit Lake natron Shores, watch flamingoes and sunset from the Lake Shores. Later go for Dinner and overnight at the Semi luxury tented Camp – or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 03: Lake Natron to Serengeti
After breakfast go for Maasai activities, experience Donkey ride with Maasai luggage and then drive to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park, early morning breakfast in Tarangire then drive to the Great Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area and game drives en route. On your journey, you have picnic Lunch so that when you arrive to Serengeti you proceed with game drives in the park. Serengeti is a home to lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Lot of birds includes the Eurasia migrants. Get dinner and overnight in the Semi luxury tented camp – en suite or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 04: Full Day wildlife tours in Serengeti National Park
Do full Day wildlife tours in Serengeti National Park, get breakfast then follows morning and afternoon game drives; tour to Seronera the center of Serengeti. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera and following wildebeest migration trend. In the afternoon continue with game viewing in Central Serengeti area where the main path of the Serengeti Wildebeest migration has passed. Get dinner and overnight in the Semi Luxury tented camp or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 05: Best Trend Wildlife Gamedrive
Your professional safari guide will follow best trend depends on that day and show you best of wildlife game drives.
Day 06: Full day in Serengeti National Park
Full day in Serengeti with all meals and water provided. You will spend this whole day for wildlife tours, see big 5 animals, see most famous mammals in Serengeti, bird and reptiles through Endless plains savanna and rock kopjes, small dams, river and hills. . Get dinner and overnight in the Semi Luxury tented camp or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 07: More tours in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, do some more wildlife tours in Serengeti and then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area. At Ngorongoro you have option to visit Maasai Boma, meet local Masai people and learn culture. Also you may like to visit Olduvai Gorge and learn history of people at Archaeological site. Then rest and wait dinner and overnight in the Eco Lodge, (Ndutu Safari Lodge or Rhino Lodge/semi luxury Camp) or Budget tented camps in public campsites.
Day 08: Full day game viewing tour in the Ngorongoro Crater
Do full day game viewing tour in the Ngorongoro Crater. Wake up early morning for breakfast then descend into the Crater (largest broken caldera) floor for game drives. All the BIG FIVE Rhino Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera; others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp a Hippo pool. After lunch proceed with fame viewing while ascending the Crater. Get Dinner and Overnight at the Safari Lodge or tented camp.
Day 09: Nature safari in Ngorongoro Conservation area
This is a nature safari in Ngorongoro Conservation area, do walking safaris and hiking to Empakai crater or/and Olmoti crater until evening, and then go to overnight at a Lodge or Camp in Karatu or Mto Wa mbu.
Day 10: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for Gamedrive
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara featured with underground water forest, proceed to acacia woodland savannah open land, pass by hot water spring and proceed to Lake Manyara-home for many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree climbing Lions, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Velvet monkey, Warthog and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded. Game Drives until the evening, and drive to Karatu for overnight at the safari Lodge.
Day 11: Drive to Lake Eyasi for Cultural and Walking Tour
In the morning you will leave the park to drive to Lake Eyasi (approximately 3 hour drive). This afternoon you can meet the Datoga tribe, famous for being the ‘blacksmiths of Tanzania’. Later afternoon your guide can take you for a walking safari around the edge of the lake, spotting out for some of the beautiful birdlife for which Lake Eyasi is famous. You will have dinner prepared by your safari chef and overnight at Lake Eyasi campsite. Please note the campsite facilities here are quite basic – all part of the adventure!
Day 12: Track the Hadzabe bushmen
Following an early breakfast at the campsite you will take a walk through the scattered bush to the Bushmen’s home, accompanied by your guide and a local guide that is able to translate the language of the Hadzabe tribe, which the bushmen belong to. The Hadzabe bushmen live in groups divided into approximately 10 families and they are very welcoming to visitors. You will be able to experience their typical bush life including their unique style of hunting for a variety of game meat as well as rodents, insects, roots and leaves. They sleep in caves, without fear of the wild animals that may pass by the in the night. After spending the morning with the Hadzabe you will head back to the campsite for lunch. Get Lunch at the Lodge and after lunch drive back to Arusha.
